[It takes a little while of House considering before he settles on Ecks. She's literal-minded, eager to learn, and probably won't question why he's contacting her in the middle of the night to talk science.]
hey, kid
you know anything about physics?

Yo, Ecks.
You might want to filter that conversation with G.H. (Hotstudd/Greg/House) on his auction post.

Hey, Ecks, it's John. Ms. Lockhart just told me you were involved in a fight the other night with Duster. Are you all right?
What even happened that started a fight?

Yo!
How are you doing after all of that crazy shit?
You feeling okay? I know we're all still recuperating on my end.

Gregory House is a terrible influence. Terrible. Stop listening to him about eating spiders.
[That is what House told her, isn't it? Beckett is a little vague on the details. He's vague on a lot of things right now.]

[Kesara is profoundly wary of doing this. But she has spent the last two days thinking hard, and one conclusion has been that this needs doing. She does not shy away from what must be done. Not her, sir, no.
Still, she sounds a little hesitant.]
Are you quite all right, Ecks?

THIS EMAIL IS CURSED!!! BY OPENING IT YOU ARE NOW ALSO CURSED!!!
The curse has downloaded itself to your tablet, and soon it will change you too. In the end, this is what happened to the previous victims that the Admin brought to Norfinbury...true story, they were all turned into anomalies by the cursed force inside their tablets...! The only way to stop the curse from taking you over and causing you to wander in the snow forever is if you forward this email to five people within the next hour. Will you break the curse, or will you be doomed to wander as a mindless hungry monster until the end of time?!
THE CLOCK IS TICKING...

if you ever come back
you're going to tell me exactly how and why you died
and you never get to complain at me about being "bad at not dying" again
jesus christ
you had almost all of my freaking medical supplies, you moron

Greetings, Ecks.
I've been hesitant to write this. We've only spoken a few times, so I did not want to burden you with my problems. I know you are a busy young woman.
I have a simple request to make of you. If something happens to me, illness or anomaly, could you please keep an eye on Frisk? Calling them or making puzzles, something you know you can do to help. My last death shook them and I want to be sure they have company if it ever happens again.
Thank you for your time.

[Kesara's heart is pounding in her throat. She's short on breath. She has to do this, though, she has to. Don't get angry, don't be afraid, don't stop thinking...
Nightmares are just nightmares. You wake up.]
Do you still want to kill me?

Ecks are you anywhere near Kesara's tunnels
Hey, Ecks. We're in the Pass now, and I got those stuf- fake animals. You still around?
[And because paranoia is a hell of a thing-]
You with anybody?

[Claire continues her checking up on people with Ecks, keeping it to audio when she finds the corner of a room to sit in and contact a few people. She's concerned for Ecks, for several reasons.]
Hello Ecks, it's Claire. I just wanted to check in on you, hear if you're doing okay. Last night was...well, it was something, for sure. How are you? Do you need anything?

[She'd been trying not to linger on the night. On what she thought. On what she did. But she can see nothing and has nothing to do but walk East, and Kesara's mind wanders, wanders.
Until she ends up calling the one person whom she knows for a fact will be honest with her about it. About murder.]
Ecks? Are you alive?

[Well, after this mess, he has to message her privately. Regardless of what he said before, this is important.]
you need to call off whatever trade meet-up you have with solomons
or send someone else to do the trade in your place
stay away from him
and royce

[They don't even know each other that well, but she is the one he thinks of here. She would understand. Somehow, it makes him feel better to see if she's doing well, to know at least one of them can break free of these bonds.]
How are you?
[Straight and to the point.]

[ Clint wakes up to - having his face licked.
It startles the hell out of him. He yelps and sits straight up - and then groans, because ow, he hurts. It's the pain that makes it so that he doesn't realize exactly what was licking him for a moment. In fact, at first, he doesn't even register that it could be a dog. ]
Aww, gross. Ecks, I hope that isn't you that -- [ A beat. And then he focuses on the dog that's waiting patiently for him to notice. -- Dog!
... Lucky! [ And Lucky barks happily, tackling Clint to cover him in gross dog kisses. ]
